Argentina’s Buenos Aires province plans big expansion in biodiesel

Argentina’s Buenos Aires province has drawn up a dedicated plan for the production and marketing of biodiesel, with the aim of raising production to 50% of the volume of processed soybean in the province, up from 13% currently.

Minister Leonardo Sarquís, minister of Agroindustry of the Buenos Aires province, said many important projects that are in progress and further important investments would come in the coming months.

The provincial government added that it plans to integrate increased biodiesel production with animal farming and add value to 300% of the original byproduct.
